Managing Time

I got this from a Pastor in Hawaii. Love it!

We all have a resource available to us that is unbelievable in its value. It is the resource of time. The choices I make each day of how I spend my time will determine the outcome of my life.

Here is a valuable lesson that I'm learning from a pastor friend.

1. Basically 80% of what I do, anybody can do. These are things such as:

a. Answer the telephone

b. Check email

c. Sit in a meetings, etc.

2. 15% of what I do, anyone with some learned skill can do.

a. Operate my computer

b. Write reports

c. Prepare a sermon

3. But there is that last category. 5% of what I do, only I can do, nobody else in the world can do this.

a. Only I can grow myself spiritually

b. Only I can be a husband/father to my family

c. Only I can take care of my physical body

It is this last category that the most time needs to be invested in. If you will invest your time in this last 5% God will multiply that.

There are 5 words that will destroy your future: I don't have the time!

Matt 6:33-34
33 But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
