72 He cared for them with a true heart and led them with skillful hands. Psalm 78:72

There are two things that we must have in ministry. We must have compassion for people and we must have competence in our area of ministry. A true shepherd loves and leads the sheep. In truth our love for the sheep will put inside us the desire to lead them well. We will want to be the best that we can be in order to serve them. Our desire to be great will not then be based on a desire to be seen by others, or to build our resume. But it will be based on love for people.

In response to this Scripture I will always seek to deepen my heart. Spending time in the Word and in prayer will be in my schedule. Spending time with people will be in my schedule. I will also seek consistently to improve my leadership skills so that I can lead the people I love with excellence.

Lord, help me to model Your love and your leadership to those around me. May I truly love them, never using them for my own purposes. May I represent You for what You really are.

Andy, Good Morning; That was a long psalm, but full of wisdom. I sure don't want God to be angry with me.The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. What peace to know He is on our side.I'm new to Twitter
