"But why do you call Me ‘Lord, Lord,’ and not do the things which I say?" Luke 6:46

Jesus could ask a tough question couldn’t He? He put them right on the spot when He said, “You are calling me Lord, but you are not doing what I say!”

There is no Scripture that I can find that promises a great rewarding life by merely saying, “Jesus is my Lord.” But right here in Luke 6, we are given a clear picture of the solid foundation that we can stand on when we obey Christ’s commands.

I have learned to watch what people do. You will find out who they really are by what they do, not by what they say. It’s one thing to say, “Jesus is my Lord.” It is another thing to completely obey Him.

I don’t walk to talk something without living it!!

Lord help me to live up to my confession. If I call you Lord, let my actions back it up!
