“Praise the Lord! I will praise the Lord with my whole heart, In the assembly of the upright and in the congregation.”
Psalm 111:1
The psalmist is filled with praise at this time of writing. His heart is rejoicing in God, thankful for the Lord’s mighty works. I notice a few things about praise. First, praise is an act of the will. “I will praise the Lord” Second, praise is to be done with all our hearts. We are to hold nothing back from the Lord as we come to worship and praise Him. Third, praise is to be a regular part of our gathering times as Christians. The Psalmist recognized the great value of corporate worship.
I will make the choice to praise the Lord today and not fall into the sin of complaining. I will give my whole heart to God exposing any areas in rebellion against Him and rooting them out. I will set great value on coming together with the family of God and worshipping together.
Lord thank You that You are indeed worthy of our praise and adoration. Let me not fail to give You the glory that you so richly deserve!
