You can outgrow your problems!

I love this story that I read from John Maxwell. Enjoy!

This is a true story about a guide who took a team up Mt. Everest. They got about two-thirds of the way up, ran into a major storm, and had to come back down. Because of extensive preparation and significant travel expenses, everyone was very disappointed. The guide, knowing the disappointment of the team, said before they left for home that they would have dinner together.

Obviously, at the dinner there was a somber mood. For that reason, it was kind of a low-key night. After the meal, the guide stood up before the group and said, “I want to share something with you.” Behind him on the wall was a huge picture of Mt. Everest. It was as big as the wall. The guide turned his back on the group and began talking to the picture. He said, “Mt. Everest, we tried to climb to the top. We tried to conquer you, but we failed. We had to come back down. I want you to know that today you defeated us. But Mt. Everest, I want to say something else. We are coming back again next year. And Mt. Everest, I want you to know when we come back next year we will defeat you. Let me tell you why. Mt. Everest you are as big as you are ever going to be.”

Then the guide turned from the picture to the group and said, “But the people on this team, they can get bigger.”

My friend, you can outgrow your problems!
