Plans that Stand

21 There are many plans in a man’s heart, Nevertheless the LORD’s counsel—that will stand. Proverbs 19:21

We all have plans in our hearts. We have things that we want to do, dreams that we dream and so on. That is a good thing. Without dreamers what would the world be like? People who imagine a better world and set out to make their world better are truly heroes. But in all our dreaming and planning we must realize one thing. The only plans that are going to stand forever are the plans that God makes. My purpose should then become to align my life behind His plans, instead of asking Him to bless my plans.

I am going to plan and dream, and do both of them in a great way. But I am going to submit all those plans and dreams to my Creator. In fact I want His plans to become my plans and His dreams mine.

Lord, give me great dreams for You! May the actions of my life be based on Your counsel, the counsel that will stand forever!
