We Need to Party More

I was at our children’s end of school award ceremony yesterday. I love these things. Incidentally my daughter made the “A” honor roll and my son made “AB” honor roll and the most improved student in 7th grade. I’m so proud. Our little niece Allie was also at the ceremony yesterday. She is ten months old. She was so funny during the ceremony. We have the habit of clapping for her when she does something well that we like. Every time the audience clapped yesterday she thought that all the clapping was for her. She perked up and smiled every time. She had a look on her face that said, "They are clapping for me!"

I love it that a baby loves to celebrate every small victory. Why do we have to lose that? The Kingdom of God is a grand celebration of the victory of Christ. Heaven will be a tremendous celebration. We should do more of that here. If our gatherings ever become boring and lifeless, then we will have loss the Spirit of Christ.
